MSS Showcase Ultrasonic Solutions for Well Integrity Measurements at OTC 2014
May 04, 2014
Piezo Technologies, a Meggitt Sensing Systems group, a world leader in piezoceramic solutions will exhibit at the Offshore Technology Conference in booth 6401 May 5 – 8 in Houston, TX. Piezo Technologies will showcase its ultrasonic components and systems for well integrity measurement applications.
Piezo Technologies will offer a demonstration featuring a custom-engineered structural thickness measurement assembly designed for well integrity logging applications; and will present a selection of ultrasonic solutions featuring its comprehensive portfolio of high temperature high pressure transducers for downhole applications as well as pipeline assessments.
The demonstration will feature a Piezo Technologies’ high temperature transducer integrated with high-gain, low-noise, wide bandwidth receiver and a high-performance microcontroller for calculating distance to target and thickness measurements that are fundamental for structural safety assessments.
“We recognize that well integrity is an evolving and expanding issue across the oil and gas industry,” says Mel Hilderbrand, President of Piezo Technologies. “Meggitt Sensing Systems is a trusted source for critical components and systems used to assess structural integrity and secure high value assets. We are committed to bringing our engineering expertise for extreme environments to new solutions in measurement, motion, and power to meet the challenges of our oil and gas customers.”
