Modified Lead Metaniobate
Piezo Technologies produces modified lead metaniobate piezoelectric ceramic materials for high bandwidth, pulse echo applications such as non-destructive testing and medical imaging transducers.
Our modified lead metaniobate piezoelectric ceramics have a stable dielectric constant over variations in temperature and pressure and a high frequency constant. This results in a lower capacitance for higher frequency driving and a low acoustic impedance. They also have low mechanical Q and low aging characteristics.
We manufacture modified lead metaniobate piezo ceramic elements in a range of shapes and sizes for flaw detectors, thickness gauges, accelerometers, and hydrophones. They can be used to measure acoustic emissions, pressure, knock, flow, and level.
- K-81 offers broad bandwidth, deep water and high temperature capabilities.
- K-83 is suited to high frequency operation of 5-20 MHz and is thicker than similarly high frequency ceramic elements.
- K-85 offers high frequency operation up to 5 MHz and is used flaw detectors, thickness gauges, level sensor, and other wide bandwidth applications.
- K-91 is suitable for transducers in deep water, high temperature, and hostile environments.
